For decades, extracting water from deep boreholes meant wrestling with heavy steel pipes or brittle PVC. These traditional methods are not only labour-intensive but are prone to corrosion, scaling, and high maintenance costs.
Introducing Welline™ by Asoe – the flexible, high-tenacity rising main system that is transforming how we access underground water.
If you are operating in any of the following scenarios, rigid piping is likely costing you more than it should:
Extreme Depths: When your water source is deeper than 60 meters.
Aggressive Water: When the groundwater is saline (salty) or acidic, which eats away at steel.
Large Boreholes: When your borehole size is 3 inches or larger.
High Remote Costs: When the site is difficult to access for heavy machinery or cranes.
Unlike 6-meter steel sections that require a crane and a large crew, Welline™ is a lay-flat, coilable hose. It comes in continuous lengths of up to 400 meters. This means you can hang your submersible pump directly from the hose, connecting it at the surface and lowering it in one smooth motion using a simple roller.
Welline™ is constructed from a high-tenacity polyester reinforcement jacket, totally encapsulated in an NSF 61-approved Polyurethane (PU).
Zero Corrosion: It will never rust, even in the harshest acidic environments.
No Scaling: The smooth internal bore prevents the buildup of minerals and bacteria, maintaining your flow rate for decades.
The flexible nature of the PU material allows the hose to absorb vibrations and pressure surges (water hammer) from the pump. This leads to a quieter installation and protects your equipment from mechanical shock. Furthermore, the slight “swelling” of the hose under pressure reduces friction loss, potentially lowering your energy costs.
Welline™ is designed for a 40-year operational life. It is maintenance-free, meaning once it’s down the hole, you don’t have to worry about joint leaks or pipe fatigue.
| Component | Recommendation | Why it Matters |
| Hose | Welline™ PU Hose | High tensile strength to support the pump weight without a safety cable. |
| Coupling | SS316 Conical Coupling | Reusable, high-grade stainless steel for a leak-proof “mechanical lock.” |
| Equipment | Installation Roller | Allows a small crew to deploy or retrieve the pump manually or with a light vehicle. |
Transport: One small bakkie (pickup) can carry 400m of Welline™. Steel would require a flatbed truck.
Manpower: 2–3 people can install Welline™. Steel requires a specialised rig and a larger team.
Joints: Welline™ has zero joints between the pump and the wellhead, eliminating the #1 cause of pressure failure.
Stop struggling with rigid pipes. Switch to the rising main system that saves you time, money, and labor.
